INVERTERS, Modified Sine Wave inverters, Pure Sine Wave inverters, True Sine Wave inverters. Convert Battery Power to the familiar Mains power (power in your house hold plugs) with these devices. INVERTER CHARGERS, Convert Battery Power to Mains Power. Automatic switch AC switch over when Mains power supplied, whilst also charging your batteries in this mode. A common device for Boaties, RV/Campers and off-grid, Grid-tie applications.

Inverters - Inverter Chargers, What one to choose?

MODIFIED SINE WAVE INVERTERS are more commonly used for Electrics (not electronic devices but can be used if inverter is double the rating of the electronic device =watts).
A Modified Sine Wave inverter is the most efficient and cost effective inverter option, ideal for running general appliances, or if you simply want the cheapest option.

PURE SINE WAVE INVERTERS (or TRUE sine wave inverters) are recommended for electronics where a "smoother" "cleaner" power wave is preferred, we must be aware that modified inverters were the only inverter choice for a long time and are still capable of powering electronics BUT Pure sine inverters provide a smoother experience. You can use PURE SINE WAVE INVERTERS for electronics or electrics. Power Tools are to be used via an inverter at your own risk, THE BATTERY CELL recommends the use of an INVERTER GENERATOR for Power Tools (you must match your tools Peak draw to the generators Peak load.

INVERTER CHARGERS (Always use Pure or True sinewave Inverter Chargers) Convert Battery Power to Mains Power., Automatic switch AC switch over when Mains power supplied, whilst also charging your batteries in this mode. A common device for Boaties, RV/Campers and off-grid, Grid-tie applications as well as useful for those with generators for auto cut-in via AC Transfer switches (also recommended for ALL Inverter Charger purchases.
