Example: A 40W portable fridge running for 10 hours uses 400 Wh. Step 2 (Convert to Amp-Hours): Divide total Watt-Hours by your system voltage (usually 12V).
Example: 400 Wh ÷ 12V = 33.3 Ah of continuous power needed daily. Step 3 (Safety Lifespan Buffer): To protect your plates and guarantee longevity, apply the depth of discharge buffer:
  • For AGM / Gel / Flooded (Max 50% discharge): Multiply Ah by 2 → 33.3 Ah × 2 = 66.6 Ah minimum battery size.
