Terms and Conditions -Starting battery purchase online

Terms and Conditions of Starting Battery Purchases On-line.

These are additional to the existing Battery Cell limited Terms and conditions =here

Due to the many contributing factors in regards to what battery you have in your vehicle as opposed to what should be in your vehicle as opposed to what you select from what’s available on our website. It is “imperative” that you read these terms and conditions BEFORE you purchase, failure to do so may leave you disappointed. When you purchase a Starting battery from us you automatically agree to the terms & conditions set out in this statement as well as our generic Terms and conditions which are available to view on our website.

You should purchase your Starting battery in the following order bearing in mind the conditions that go with each requirement.

1) Information.

Gather information on what battery your vehicle requires, this may be via our website, via direct contact with us (e-mail is recommended for a paper trail) or via any other reputable source^.

(^proof of their recommendation/s on letterhead documentation may be required, so it is recommended if you do not source any recommendations of us that you obtain and keep these).

       * This will include

–the part number or the battery you currently have and a recommended part number to make sure you have the correct battery to start with (again we can help you with that or any reputable source^).

-Measurements of the battery itself, which consists of Length (longest part of the battery), width, height and height including the Terminals.

-Terminal thickness(diameter) and type (solid terminal[SAE], hole through terminal[Multi], slendor terminals [JAP])

-Terminal Configuration, draw a diagram as shown to match that provided in the specs tab of each battery we are selling eg.

Alternatively, provide an e-mail with all the information you can, Car Make, Model, Year, Engine specification, Fuel type –the more info the better. And the details of any battery already in the vehicle and we can recommend the battery, you will need to retain this recommendation as proof should there be an error made.

2) Confirming your Selection.

Once you have your recommendation, or if you have found a match from our items for your battery or you simply know what you are after. Click on the product itself for more information and “DOUBLE CHECK” our specifications/features/measurements match. CCA does not need to match, different brands have different ratings. The physical dimensions, terminal type and size all need to match or be compatible with the installation.

3) Installation.

Due to the amount of electrics, fuses, computers, stereo memories etc it is never recommended to self-install a battery UNLESS you know what you are doing. We accept NO responsibility to any damage caused to a vehicle or battery from self install. If you use an authorised battery installer and there are plenty around the place, they can back their work for you.

4) Returns, Warrantees + other.

Batteries carry warrantees, The warranty term is available with each product specifications. Conditions are specific and with the battery Manufacturer or the official Brand representative within NZ. We can look at Warranty issues ourselves, we are not responsible for the arrival of the battery at our location (this includes returns), and we do NOT have the final say over the validity of a warranty.

Points to note re Warrantees, they do not include Flat batteries, damage, neglect (lack of use), incorrect application. Common sense is the factor re warrantees. A warranty is NOT a guarantee, warranty is workmanship + performance specs as dictated by the battery. The Manufacturer, The Brand’s NZ Representative and The Battery Cell reserve the right to test the validity of a warranty. The Battery Cell is not responsible for any loss of any form to the customer as a result of submission of their purchase for Warranty claims.

Any other issue regarding a purchased Starting battery/s from The Battery Cell are dealt with individually on a case by case basis. Any costs incurred by The Battery Cell resolving issues that require creditation will be subject to pro-rata re-imbursement. The Customer will be informed of these values.

5) Terms and Conditions of THE BATTERY CELL.

These are available to view on our website. They supercede any sub-conditions such as this document where any topics may not be covered for Starting Battery Purchases from THE BATTERY CELL. The Battery Cell reserves the right to change, alter, correct any of the terms and conditions mentioned in this document at any stage without notice. It is not our responsibility to inform the customers of these changes. However, any pre-existing terms and conditions at the time of purchase deemed to be applicable to the purchase will be considered. For that reason, we recommend you keep a dated printed copy of these terms and conditions. For your records.
